Spelling V C Bee
Do your children think they have what it takes to become our Ultimate Speller? Find out in our Spelling VCBee video conference.
Guidance and Spelling tips presented throughout the session
Based on the popular spelling bee competitions held in the USA, this video conference has schools or classes competing against each other answering questions based on the spelling lists for upper or lower KS2. Fill in the missing letters, identify the correct spellings and spell as many words as you can in timed rounds. Only one team can survive, and only one person can be crowned Ultimate Speller!
The conference will link your school with another school (or alternately one school can provide two teams to go head-to-head against each other in the same classroom) and is hosted by our very own quizmaster Professor Bob Bloggs, Professor of Very Difficult Spelling from the University of Impossibly Hard Linguistics, who will also share his top tips for learning tricky spellings.
Great for motivating children to get involved in spelling, acting as revision for end of KS2 tests or just a fun challenge for your school, this session is aimed at KS2 pupils, based around either the Y3/4 spelling list or the Y5/6 spelling list. The session will last between 50 and 60 minutes.
Sessions are run throughout the year and is also available on demand. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
