Understanding the impact of the Prevent Duty on schools

Date: Wednesday 23rd March

In March 2015, the Counter Terrorism and Security Act received Royal Assent and now includes a new safeguarding duty – the Prevent Duty.

Ofsted want to ensure that everyone in your school knows about the Prevent Duty and are confident in responding to concerns about extremism.

This 30min webinar aims to cover the 5 key areas that schools should know about and take into consideration:

  1. Risk assessment
  2. Working in partnership
  3. Staff training
  4. IT Policies
  5. Monitoring and enforcement

This webinar will not only build professionals’ confidence in safeguarding young people, but also help in challenging anti-Muslim sentiment and promote shared values and community cohesion.
