Welcome to Yorkshire Videoconferencing and Online learning
Ever wished your pupils could learn about the Vikings by meeting up with a Jorvik Viking? Develop mathematical thinking by seeing Sherlock Holmes in action or take part in a Mathbuster competition? Put their modern foreign language skills to good use by participating in the YorkshireVISION Song Contest? We can link you with famous literary characters and historical figures from the past, present and even the future to take part in interactive contests and activities , all from the familiar setting of your own classroom.
Using simple technologies you are able to take your pupils on a virtual educational visit, never having to leave the comfort of your classroom and this could be using little more than your broadband connection and a webcam or a class based videoconference system.
It's not just for your students - How about using VC for teacher to teacher CPD , cluster meetings or those Monday morning meetings between federated schools or take part in an online CPD session. With no more travelling to and from CPD sessions or rushing back for the next teaching session we can do it all over the internet - it's quicker easier and much less stressful.
All our virtual visits and online workshops are organised and delivered by qualified teachers, trainers and educational specialists who are experts in eLearning.
Take a look around the site, you will find all you need from hosting, support, curriculum sessions and hardware.

YorkshireVC is a not for profit organisation managed by Andrew Lickley – eLearning and Collaborative Technologies Consultant
Join us via videoconference on a historical journey through pre-history. Spend 45 minutes with our costumed bronze age presenter/archaeologist to investigate some of the artefacts discovered in the Yorkshire Dales and hear how they lived in this beautiful part of the country. This session can be used as an introduction to a pre history topic or as a reinforcement lesson during it. Let us know if there’s a particular area or subject you would like us to cover. Sessions can be arranged at a time convenient to you. This session is delivered in partnership with the Dales Countryside Museum, Hawes, North Yorkshire.
We’re Open To Ideas
As well as the wide range of VC opportunities we currently offer, here at YorkshirevVC we have access to a number of subject experts from teaching, museums and industry ready to deliver alongside our regular character actors live into your classroom using the power and convenience of videoconferencing .
